Authenticity and luxury are top trends in interior design. With the move away from “flashy” design and towards a more user-centric sense of comfort, luxury is now expressed through a holistic and experiential lens, with an emphasis on uniqueness, understated elegance and quality.
In keeping with this ethos, GH Commercial are launching their latest carpet collection under their Feltex brand in collaboration with internationally acclaimed architect and designer Lorena Gaxiola. The ‘Lorena Gaxiola x Feltex’ collection is an expansive collection of prints offering simple, uncomplicated combinations of designs that can be easily adapted to various scales and array of colours to inspire artful statements.
“I feel a profound connection between artwork and its surroundings. The collection is meant to bring a message to a room. A piece of art on the floor,” Lorena explains.
Lorena Gaxiola and GH Commercial worked collaboratively to refine her designs with subtle plays of movement, carefully choosing colours and patterns that bring vibrancy to any interior environment. These fashion-forward prints can be used to create a powerful impression across a range of sectors, from public spaces and workplaces to restaurants or hotel guestrooms, from subdued settings to more lively atmospheres.
Based in Sydney, Lorena Gaxiola is an internationally acclaimed interior architect and designer renowned within the design community for her expertise in creating bespoke spaces that add value to any project. With over two decades of experience working across Europe, the United States, Australia and China, Lorena is well-versed in global market trends.
Today, Lorena leads a team of multifaceted female creatives dedicated to offering clients a holistic approach, combining conceptual architecture, interior designs, product development and branding. Through this collaboration with GH Commercial, she has been able to indulge her passion for art and architecture by blending structure and proportion in a variety of mediums, attaining new levels of craft and design.
With this new collaboration, GH Commercial further cements its position as a design leader in the flooring sector. The company’s world-class Designer Jet® custom carpet technology brought this project to life, offering virtually limitless design capabilities and an extensive array of colours.
This exclusive collection will be the first of its kind, made to suit any taste, from the traditionalist who prefers a more modest print size to those who are bold enough for an oversized statement piece. Whatever your preference, each design has been skilfully scaled and proportioned to achieve impressive results in any setting, whether it be a corridor, a reception or a public space.
Designer Jet® enables designers and clients to express a narrative through flooring design, turning carpet from a functional element to a tool for telling a story and evoking emotion. With this technology, GH Commercial is able to meet the evolving design briefs of the commercial design industry.
The Lorena Gaxiola x Feltex collection is available through GH Commercial, launching online in September 2023.
