February 18th, 2010

Playing on the impermanence, one Swedish architect embraced this transience of the trade fair by setting up a quickly constructible creative lounge area for eating and meeting.
Designed by Jonas Wagell – architect, designer and co-founder of design brand Happy Industry – the space was designed with simple means and measures, using balloons throughout to create a decorative sky of rain clouds.
Bold primary colours throughout along with whimsical trees and mountain-peak cut outs as the backdrop, made for a graphic cartoon setting characteristic of the Wagell’s style.
Design Bar was furnished with a playful range of products by the designer – the Montmartre furniture set from Mitab, Mr Gardner outdoor furniture by Berga Form and Cage Steel baskets and the Odd family of lamps, bowls and vase from Hello Industry.
