Fashion designer Jodhi Meares has combined forces with Melbourne architects to design a new South Yarra residence.

Melbournites can expect a change to city living this year, with an exciting new development set to bring beauty and nature back to the inner suburbs.
The development, ‘Clara’, is a combined project from renowned architects Jackson Clements Burrows and Elenberg Fraser, and presenter/designer Jodhi Meares. Meares will for the first time lend her hand to interior design, working with the architects to create spaces that are functional, and beautifully suited to the varied lifestyles of residents in the inner city.
“Where and how you live characterises your personality as much as it does your lifestyle,” Meares says.
The development will be nestled in the leafy Melbourne suburb of South Yarra, and will feature a combination of townhouses, villas and apartments. Meares, as ‘Lifestyle Collaborator’, will assist residents in making the most of their interiors.
“In creating this living space I was inspired by the total experience of what it means to live at Clara – the modernity of the architecture, the sophistication of South Yarra and the tranquillity of being so close to nature.”
Construction is expected to commence in June 2009.
