Your votes are in and we can finally announce the winners of our People’s Choice Award!

This year there was some seriously tough competition with amazing Australian architects, designers, artists and creative studios collaborating with our high-end international and local exhibitors to explore the concept of rituals. One Project stood out to our voters however, and that was the exciting soft-play box from Signature Floorconcepts and Siren Design. A colourful space with face-painting and squishy balls, it was a hit with kids and big kids alike! Congratulations on winning the People’s Choice Award for 2015!

A close second in votes was KE-ZU’s showroom space, with a life-size cardboard model house. Their collaboration with Other Architects was inspired by the French filmmaker Jacques Tati and celebrated the spaces in which we enjoy our everyday routines. Well done!

Not far behind these two innovators was the collaboration between Tappeti and Cox Richardson; an interactive space that highlighted the traditional art of rug weaving. Visitors tried their hands at weaving alongside some gorgeous rugs from Tappeti’s new collection.

Yet another collaboration you all loved was OBODO with SJB interiors, who presented an inspiring green space. Applications of evergreen ivy and mirrors reflected the eternal links between past and present.

Congratulations to Signature Floorconcepts, but also to all the collaborators involved in The Project 2015 – you truly brought design to life for Sydney Indesign. Want to get involved in The Project at Melbourne Indesign next year? Email info@indesignthevent.com.au
