From a shortlist of outstanding objects in this year’s INDE.Awards, the winner of The Object category ticks all the boxes and then some.
October 16th, 2022
With a stellar array of objects in the shortlist of The Object category in the 2022 INDE.Awards, a design that is elegant, sophisticated and beautiful has been pronounced the winner. Congratulations go to Zephyr Lounger designed by Charles Wilson for Tait, Australia.
While the submissions to The Object category were varied and singular in distinction, sustainability was foremost within every design. Each product whether furniture, lighting or an accessory, was designed and manufactured with the environment in mind – through process, material or application. There can be no greater celebration of an object than longevity with the idea that it can enjoyed by many over time and the Zephyr Lounger certainly delivers a timeless design.

Formed from a stainless-steel frame, the Zephyr Lounger brings comfort to the outdoors with an elegant sling-like design that takes this chair to another level of style. Designed to be ergonomically superior, the Zephyr Lounger takes inspiration from the “Zephyr” referred to in sailing where a yacht may catch a gentle uplifting breeze.
Perfect in aesthetic, form and function, congratulations to the 2022 INDE.Awards The Object winner, Charles Wilson for Tait who receive the top honour in category and leads the pack for object design this year.
