Humanscale has launched a new sit-to-stand solution that wins Best of the Best at the international design awards.
May 5th, 2016
Just a few months after going to market, Humanscale’s new product, QuickStand Lite™, gets the seal of approval from the prestigious Red Dot Award, with a Best of the Best win in Product Design. The 2016 award received 5,214 entries from 57 countries – a new record for the international design awards, and testament to the innovative nature of Humanscale’s new product.
QuickStand Lite is a height-adjustable workstation that allows for smooth movement between sitting and standing postures via a clever counterbalance mechanism. With minimal levers and a cable-management system that lets you plug and play, the sit-to-stand solution is designed to attach easily to existing workstations, making it versatile and ideal for agile workspaces. “The Humanscale Design Studio was inspired to create a sit-to-stand workstation that would encourage collaboration and complement any office environment, especially hot-desking spaces,” says Mesve Vardar, Design Director, a member of the New York-based Humanscale Design Studio that created the desking solution.
QuickStand Lite features an adjustable keyboard, and it attaches easily to the rear of any workstation
The table’s engineering system is hidden out of sight, and the cable-management system has been pre-integrated in order to keep the desk free from clutter. It also has an adjustable keyboard.
QuickStand Lite’s win is the fifth for Humanscale, which creates and manufactures ergonomic products while always keeping sustainability in mind. This year’s award winners were picked by Red Dot’s 41-member jury – which included Raj Nandan, Indesign Media Asia Pacific’s CEO, and they will be celebrated at a ceremony in Essen, Germany, on 4 July 2016.
