If your native tongue is not English, the window of opportunity to showcase your innovation and creativity to the world with the red dot award competition is closing.

The standard submission deadline for the red dot award: design concept will end on 13 May 2011, giving entrants one last chance to submit their work in German, Mandarin or Korean.

In the late submission period starting on 14 May, participants will only be able to enter their idea in English, with a raised fee.

The red dot award: design concept was launched in 2005 to give designers, design studios, universities, research institutes and companies the opportunity to gain an objective review of their work, research and projects, and a chance to showcase to the rest of the world their efforts in research and development.

Clip Me (Germany): red dot: best of the best 2009 for concept; red dot: best of the best 2010 for product.

Last year’s batch was one of the most successful, with the most number of winning concepts brought to market.
