Pelle Leathers provides an expansive collection of quality upholstery leathers sourced from leading-edge European tanneries at the forefront of technology. ’¨’¨The Vienna range, originating from Germany, is a true Semi aniline, being only very lightly pigmented and completely full grain. Only the finest selection of South German cattle hides are used – known for their impeccable, clean and very large hides providing impressive yield.
Environmental responsibility and sustainability are paramount in the production of all leathers in Pelle’s collection. In particular Vienna has been VOC tested by TUV Rheinland according to the Blue Angel Standard (Der Blauer Engel). This is Europe’s leading VOC testing procedure for furniture and associated coverings (both leather and fabric). ’¨’¨
Vienna is now also listed on the Ecospecifier website referencing the above as well as other pertinent information on this beautiful environmentally sensitive upholstery leather. When specifying Pelle Leathers you can be assured of all leathers being low VOC.
Vienna has been recently upholstered on to some of the world finest and most recognised pieces of commercial furniture in high-profile commercial projects. One project in particular is APRA in which several Herman Miller Eames soft pad chairs were upholstered in Vienna Colour: Lava (see images)
When specifying Vienna, you will have absolute assurance you are selecting a leather with a high light fastness and durability combined with a natural irregular grain that is ideally suited to the most demanding of commercial and residential environments.
Vienna comprises of 44 colours all held in stock in Germany, availability is 6-8 working days up to 200m2 per colour. Also available in this range is an aesthetically alluring perforation “Pique”. This perforation can be applied to not only the Vienna range but also ’Contract’, ’Danube’, ‘Spectrum’ and ’Safari’ ranges.
