Kenneth Cobonpue presents a unexpectedly space-age pendant in his latest lighting collection for HIVE
September 27th, 2012
The ancient Greek rhetorical concept of grasping a fleeting moment in time and capitalising on a “supreme moment” was the foundation for Cobonpue’s latest creation.

Moulded from fibre reinforced polymers, the Kairos is a decidedly contemporary divergence from Cobonpue’s usual work.

Employing colour LED light sources embedded in the frame and the investigation of polymer fabrication techniques have afforded this range an almost futuristic appeal – still retaining the signature organic forms that define the broader HIVE lighting collection.

Launched at the recent Maison et Objet in Paris, Cobonpue’s Kairos is available in three sizes from 30cm Diameter to 80cm in diameter. Outdoor models will soon follow.
