How did the company start?

We started in my living room in 2007 following my frustrations with working for large immovable corporate players.

Describe your customers.

Architects, lighting designers and specifying electrical engineers as well as some end users.

What sets your company apart?

We take the moral high ground when it comes to specification of lighting products. We play with a straight bat and fight hard to be successful.

What are your clients’ priorities at the moment?

Making sure that what they specify gets delivered, rather than taking compromise via large companies who see the lighting industry as merely a turnover generator!

What is good design to you?

Lighting should be viewed as either visible and statement-making, or unnoticeable and effective in terms of deliverables for the space it is intended, plus it’s environmental effects on people, places and the future.

What does the future hold for Light Culture?

A strong mix of new LED and high performing traditional light sources such as efficient fluorescent technology and reflector systems.
