Released at the 2015 Milan Fair, B&B Italia have expanded their outdoor furniture collection with a range of new products and made updates on popular collections, just in time for spring.
September 14th, 2015
Created for outdoor living, B&B Italia’s latest furniture collection spans a modular chair, sofa, stool, console and tables. Each is designed to elevate the enjoyment of the outdoors this season, with different settings suited to springtime barbeques with friends or balmy summer evening dinner parties.
B&B Italia’s Butterfly chair responds effectively to the needs of modularity and comfort. It gains its name from the butterfly shape created by the outer corner that joins the armrest and the backrest. Its modular structure is shaped around an ottoman, which is the base piece, and which, when integrated with the backrest and/or the armrest, becomes a central or terminal element, either left or right. The Butterfly also includes a range of complements and small tables that feature a large weave pattern.

The rounded shapes of B&B Italia’s iconic Fat-Sofa seating system are the base for a new outdoor version, characterised by a brand new interlacing design. The sofa’s padded seat is accompanied by a metal frame backrest that supports the original weave, creating an interplay between fullness and emptiness. Fat-Sofa Outdoor consists of six types, ranging from the linear sofa and a large relax island, to two height variants of the armchair and a range of different sized ottomans.
A new addition to the already successful Crinoline series comes the Crinoline stool from designer, Patricia Urquiola. The design uses a dual coloured polyethylene weave that creates a soft and comfortable stool with sinuous lines.

Designer, Antonio Citterio has also added to his Mirto collection, with the Mirto console and small table range that uses either a white, tortora or wooden slatted natural top.
