October 24th, 2011
What’s the history of your company (how did it start)?
Manufacturing since 1976.. We make blinds. But not just any blinds. We have made it our mission to create Australia’s best built, hardest wearing, most interesting and innovative blinds and window coverings. By always looking to improve things, we have invented many of the features that are now standard fare on Australian blinds.
Where do you distribute?
Generally Australia ..but open to projects wherever they are..
Describe your customers?
Discerning, knowledgeable, questioning, interested in understanding the difference in a product being offered.
What sets your company apart?
Our patented blind systems and engineered fabrics for both the commercial and residential. If you have Green Building to build and achieve the best opportunity for points we can assist..if you want a blind that will look a million dollars but not actually cost that and work well..then that is Vertilux. We offer 11 Exclusive fabrics..not rebranded or renamed but exclusive and not distributed by other.
Who should we speak to when specifying?
Our Business Managers that cover all areas, details are on the web site….https://www.vertilux.com.au/find_us.jsp
What are your client’s priorities at the moment?
Mixed really but in the main….quality for the price, Environmental qualities but not willing to pay extra for them and with data to back it up..not ’Green Wash’ products and style/point of difference. This suits us nicely..it is what we stand for.
What is good design to you?
In regard to our products and systems…functionality of product not compromised by challenging building designs.
What does the future hold?
Brightly for us…as we move to currently releasing new fabrics to the market that will roll out from now into early next year. 2012 will bring a new roller system to be released and more just keeps rolling our.
