It’s a talented group of people and organisations – otherwise known as Launch Pad’s Angels in Design – who are working behind the scenes to bring the Launch Pad 2011 program together.

We wanted to take the opportunity to share the diversity of skill and expertise that’s being put to good use in this year’s program of exhibitions, networking events and mentoring sessions.

Supplying beautifully designed furniture to the Australian market, Living Edge is the number one place to source timeless furniture pieces from the likes of Herman Miller, Walter Knoll, Established & Sons, Andreu World and more.

Living Edge has long supported Launch Pad and this year joins as Major Sponsor, contributing a wealth of expertise in the fields of retail and distribution, and offering Launch Pad finalists the opportunity to bring their prototype to fruition and possibly retail their product under the Living Edge name.

How We Create is a website that is well worth the visit.

It is an online inspiration and content forum, connecting and supporting the Australian industry across manufacturing, designing and architecture.

As Major Sponsor of Launch Pad, How We Create brings valuable knowledge and networks to this year’s LP participants – not to mention the $10,000 How We Create Grant, as part of the “Launch” prize package.

The annual Launch Pad exhibition of finalists’ prototypes is a major drawcard at every Saturday in Design, and couldn’t happen without the integral support of GOALS Office Solutions and AN Relocations (Goals A+N).

Relocation (across situations of every size and nature) is just one of their many services, and Goals A+N will this year be responsible for the transport of Finalists’ prototypes to and from the Launch Pad exhibition venue, located at the Living Edge showroom in Sydney.

Whether it’s presenting your prototype, conversing with the judges, or stepping up to receive an award, all will be visually recorded by talented Sydney photographer Fiona Susanto.

Fiona’s specialty lies in her ability to capture unprecedented moments.

She is vibrant and creative in her photographic approach, producing exciting and meaningful images – making her the perfect photographer to capture everything from the prototypes, to the people, the events and the memorable moments.

Providing Launch Pad participants with ongoing media support is DQ magazine.

DQ brings readers the very latest on the People, Products and Parties in design, and regularly engages with past and present participants, offering them continued support through news coverage, profile pieces and larger feature stories.
