What does your company supply?

We design and manufacture commercial furniture, from workstation systems and task chairs to lounges, toilet and shower partitions and bespoke storage units, The majority of our products are designed and developed in-house.


How did your company come about?

Maxton Fox started in 1974 as an office chair manufacturer. In 1988 the company expanded into workstation design and manufacturing and has continued to expand since offering innovative solutions in all areas of commercial furniture.

Where do you distribute?

Our manufacturing facility is based in Kings Park, NSW and we distribute Australia wide.

Describe your customers?

We predominately target the commercial sector. Our main clients are architects, interior designers and builders. Our furniture is also well suited to hospitality and residential applications.


What sets your company apart?

What sets our company apart from most commercial furniture manufacturers is we design and produce over 90% of our products in Australia, in our own manufacturing facility. This greatly reduces product limitations and reduces turn around times for our clients.

Who should we speak to when specifying?

National Sales Manager Dennis Tan coordinates sales and enquiries in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne and Sydney. Our sales team works closely with our Design division which gives them the ability to offer a tailored solution to a wide range of specific needs.

What are your client’s priorities at the moment?

Over the last 24 month period, our clients are predominately seeking Australian Made and environmentally sustainable products. By specifying Australian made products our clients benefit from a 4-6 week lead time as opposed to import products which usually have massive lead times.

What is good design to you?

Our company philosophy “Work Life Style” came about mainly from our own values but also from our views on good design. Work is a large part of life for a lot of people. We love design that fits into peoples lives, accommodates ones needs, combining purpose with style.

What does the future hold?

We have an exciting 12 months coming up. We have a range of new products in development. We have really been focusing on innovative cost effective solutions for the workplace. We spend such a large portion of our lives in the workplace, we’ve started to look and  really think about how people sit, move and interact in their workplace and we are confident and excited about the release of these products into the commercial market.

We have been recently been accredited GECA 28-2006 Furniture and Fittings Standard No: MFF – 2009.
