Lox Box, Lox chair and Show Off - modular design for the home

Believing above all else in function and adaptability, Sydney designer Amy Cunningham has created a range of interlocking modular furniture pieces.

The ‘Lox Box’ is a modular plywood series which can be configured in a number of different ways, thereby including the end-user in the creation of the finished object. The ‘Lox’ chair in the same series can also be configured into a coffee table.

‘Show Off’, the latest in the ‘Lox Box’ series, provides a modular shelving unit in which to display our favourite items at home, rejecting the consumer, throw-away mentality and encouraging us to cherish our most loved possessions.

“‘Out with the old and in with the new’ seems to be something we are hearing much too often in recent times through the ‘renovation boom’”, says Cunningham. “This attitude is encouraging a throw away society. Why can’t we design to last?”

‘Show Off’ has multiple applications of use, including stand alone display unit, wall mounted display, screen/room divider, inbuilt display into the architecture.
