In Melbourne, architects and designers gathered at Tait to toast the end of one year and, in anticipation, toast the next.
As Christmas fast approaches, the design scene is celebrating the end of an eventful year. At Tait’s Melbourne gathering, summer-inspired drinks were served and an abundance of delectable food delights were on offer to the crowd, and the mood was relaxed as DJ Karl Halliday played cool vibes.

At Tait’s beautiful showroom of outdoor furniture in Fitzroy, products were on show and everyone took the opportunity to touch and sit on sofas and chairs, discuss colourways and choose their favourites.
It’s been a big year for Tait, with three product launches that include: The Billy Collection, comprising seven pieces in a range of powder coated metal and timber combinations; Cycle, a stackable, lightweight chair/barstool made of 70 per cent recycled timber; and The Saltbush Collection, three poolside products designed in collaboration with Country Road for its 50th birthday.
There was also contribution and activations at Melbourne Design Week earlier in the year, a new Pop-Up showroom located in beautiful Byron Bay and a new custom-manufacturing service that harnesses Tait’s expertise and state-of-the-art equipment.
