This new venue is triple M all the way – that is, Milan Meets Melbourne, delivered with the usual fabulous Cult style. It’s been a big year for Cult in Melbourne and there is lots to celebrate! With a change of address for the Melbourne showroom, packing and unpacking was on the agenda but arriving in Abbotsford, Melbourne, the Cult team have made this new temporary destination its own.
A Christmas celebration was in order and as usual the Cult team delivered with style. Great food and drinks and the opportunity to explore the new premises provided the multitude of guests with enjoyment and inspiration. Everyone should feel right at home in the spacious multi-room venue that has been sustainably dressed for success.

Along with the move there have been new product releases from Fritz Hansen with the Utzon stool and Nanimarquina with the Pearls collection. However, of special interest is the New Zanotta Collection, a celebration of the 70th anniversary of the esteemed Italian company.
Zanotta was established in 1954 and the once small company has grown due to its creativity and innovation. For example, it was the first to introduce removable covers for upholstered furniture and also pioneered the use of glass and steel in the Marcuso table.

And there have been multiple collaborations with icons of design such as Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni, Gae Aulenti and Ettore Sottsass that have produced such pieces as the Sacco chair, a symbol of 1970s Italian design, as well as the Quaderna table.
Now at Cult the latest Zanotta collection, launched at Salone Del Mobile this year, is on show and available for those who love great Italian design. Among the many furniture pieces on the floor are the Za:Za Max sofa by Zaven, the Z24 Collection by Muller Van Severen and the Gomma armchair by Jonathan De Pas, Donato D’Urbino and Paolo Lomazzi and there are re-editions of historic designs such as the Cuculia bowl and Dealbata vases by Mendini, the Sosia mirror by La Pietra and the Ara Fenice centrepiece by Bottoni and this is just the tip of the design iceberg!

There is so much to see with room to move as you wander through Cult’s new premises at 16-28 Duke Street, Abbotsford. It’s a journey of discovery with so many objects to desire.
