The designers for the second annual collaboration based Tandem project have been announced.
April 27th, 2015
Tandem is a project that challenges the way we as individuals make and create in collaboration with others. Over a six months period, seven innovative young designers and practices are invited to develop two works, one individually and one in collaboration with another practice of their choosing.
Culminating in an annual exhibition of the projects, these works will showcase the talents of the designers, and movement towards collaborative design, with the distilling of many ideas into a singular outcome.
Last year saw the official launch of the Tandem project; featuring the works of seven Sydney based designers operating across furniture, lighting, object, fashion and product. With support from both the general public and local design community, the event was a huge success, described as “a unique event bringing awareness to the value and ‘real life’ experiences behind collaborative practice.”
This year the selection of designers include a mixture of talent from Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne. In partnership with ChristelH and He Made She Made we are pleased to announce the designers for Tandem #2 – exhibition to be launched in October 2015.
