It’s all about mixing the old with the new at Timothy Oulton, and this year’s collections see more of that happening, with fun twists and modern takes on heritage pieces all part of the equation.
Headquartered in Hong Kong, the furniture and lighting brand is known for referencing its British heritage, and for its use of reclaimed materials and fine leathers from South America. At Timothy Oulton, there is a respect for the way materials age – indeed, the natural patinas wood, metal and leather take on over time are designed to be part of the appeal.
There is the new Faded & Degraded fabric collection; a series of plush velvets that mix bold pattern with vintage elements. These give items like the Shabby sofa and dining chairs a fresh, luxe look.
Other new series include two lighting ranges: the explosive Neutron, which sees glass rods throw light across a room in interesting patterns, and Syphon, which draws on 1920s soda siphons for its industrial look.

The brand has also added to existing collections. The Bastille armchair, clad in a variety of leathers, has a rocker vibe and is a new addition to the Age of Elegance range. Two new bar cabinets – Hudson and Biohazard – bring sexy speakeasy style to the Metro collection. Other new additions include the Cumberland chest and dramatic Odeon marble chandelier.
