Get a head start in Vietnam’s rising home textile market at VIATT 2024

The Vietnam International Trade Fair for Apparel, Textiles and Textile Technologies (VIATT) is set to launch next week, providing important players in the textile industry with a chance to make their presence felt.
Across the globe, three of the biggest home textile trends right now are the use of green fibres, recycling, and using more technical fabrics for enhanced health and comfort. In Vietnam, one of the largest textile importers in the world, rising urbanisation, emerging young consumers, and higher disposable incomes are interrelated factors driving growth.
To help industry players access the country’s steadily expanding textile market, the inaugural Vietnam International Trade Fair for Apparel, Textiles and Textile Technologies (VIATT) will take place in Ho Chi Minh City from 28 February to 1 March 2024. Hundreds of home textiles exhibitors representing seven nations and regions will present their most recent offerings at the show, which include bedding, upholstery fabrics, curtains, and sun protection.
Across 15,000 m2 of exhibition space at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC), VIATT will feature over 400 exhibitors from 16 countries and regions. Leading suppliers from Bulgaria, China, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Italy, Switzerland, the UK, the USA, Vietnam and more will be showcasing their latest innovations and solutions. Seeking to win new business in Vietnam’s high-potential market, five country and region pavilions from Japan, Korea, Pakistan, Taiwan and Thailand will also display their cutting-edge technology and market trends.
VIATT 2024 is set to cover apparel fabrics, yarns and fibres, and garments; home textiles; technical textiles; non-wovens; and textile processing and printing technology. Highlighted home sector exhibitors include Hohmann Gmbh & Co. Kg. (Germany), a leading full-step manufacturer that produces high-quality stock supported sheers and fabrics on roll-base. For over a century, the company has developed a broad collection of high-quality products such as voile curtains, piece-dyed fabrics, coloured woven jacquards and furnishing fabrics.
Multi Glory USA Corporation (China/USA) is another featured exhibitor. Rooted in China for around 30 years, this vertically integrated manufacturer also owns manufacturing, operation and distribution facilities in the USA and Vietnam, providing global buyers with affordable, comfortable, high-quality bedding solutions.
Other prominent home textile suppliers include Kitsutaka Co. (Japan), featuring tatami mats, Japanese paper lampshades and Japanese dining goods; HANYANG ECO TEX (Korea), showcasing their customised roller blind fabrics; Sangwontex (Korea), displaying polyester blackout and dim-out curtain fabrics; and Skwentex International Corp. (Taiwan), featuring a variety of high-quality decorative films for interiors and automotives.
Beyond the show floor, through a wide range of events, VIATT is set to connect the textile sustainability, innovation, and fashion of key global players. The three-day fringe programme will be categorised into four key themes that are shaping the industry’s future. Exhibitors and other key textile players will conduct over 14 seminars to provide insights and showcase products, under four main categories:
- Design & Trends. Specialists will highlight industry growth and explore emerging opportunities and specialised areas for young designers.
- Market Strategy. Key stakeholders will share their insights on business development in the ASEAN textile market.
- Textile and Non-woven Technologies. Includes seminars about the latest innovations and their various applications.
- Sustainability Issues. Seminars and panel discussions focusing on the latest sustainable trends, standards, and regulations.
VIATT is organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd and the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (VIETRADE), covering the entire textile industry value chain. The inaugural edition will be held from 28 February to 1 March 2024.
