With a minimalist aesthetic and an inventive approach to product, ZETR is challenging the way electrical accessories are designed, made and experienced. Created for the conscious consumer who seeks a fusion of design excellence and ethical practice, sustainability and stewardship for resources is at the heart of ZETR’s process. This same ethos guided the choice to expand the use  of responsible objects the brand’s new headquarters, creating a space that reflect its purpose as much as its design philosophy.

The space in Mona Vale, NSW has been reimagined to create distinctive zones for creativity, commerce and collaboration, with a materiality that stars furnishings from Living Edge. This is not new, out-of-the-container design, instead, Relive by Living Edge enables furniture pieces to time-travel from the past and into the future.

“ZETR HQ has always been an evolving project, a way for us to explore design beyond the electrical space. The shapes, materials, and finishes reflect the same process of refinement we bring to our products,” said Garth Elliott, Director of ZETR.

“Working with Living Edge on this collaboration continues our shared pursuit of timeless design, while making sure the space functions beautifully for the team.”

The application of select pieces of previously used furniture reflects both brands’ strong commitment to sustainability and the circular economy, demonstrating how the integrity and lifespan of a product can be preserved while consciously reducing waste to landfill.

Extending the lifespan of quality product, Relive by Living Edge is a second-life furniture solution that offers pre-owned furniture new pathways for reuse. Taking original, authentic furniture from leading designers and sensitively refurbishingit, the offering makes the furniture pieces available for interior designers, private buyers and space curators who value character, sustainability, and longevity.

It is a perfect merging of values for ZETR, a brand who creates minimalist, design-forward electrical. From architectural light switches to sculptural surface mount designs, and designer power outlets, their product is imagined, prototyped, and some of it manufactured from under the one roof.  This true end-to-end operation enables the company to embed ethics and environmental care at every stage of the product journey.

The new HQ space incorporates open work zones, private meeting rooms, breakout spaces and collaboration pods, as well as a design workshop, on-site warehousing and production facilities. A communal kitchen in the heart of the space brings everyone together.

The brand’s headquarters  was the ideal setting to integrate a selection of Relive furniture. At the entry, second-life Tom Dixon Fat lounge chairs offer a sculptural and inviting welcome for clients and staff.

In the working zones, Herman Miller Abak workstations recovered by Relive from a client who first procured them from Living Edge almost 20 years ago have been refreshed and updated, complete with integrated high powered USB-C modules. Paired with reclaimed fourteen-year-old Herman Miller Mirra 1 Task Chairs, a flexible, ergonomic solution has been created for concentration and focused work.

For private discussions, a refurbished Caon Bloc+ Meeting Booth provides a power-enabled modular seating zone that is cocooned from the energy and soundscape of the broader workplace. Also equipped with ZETR flush power, this David Caon-designed premium fitout element was retrieved by Relive by Living Edge from a corporate client.

In the social area, the team can gather around an Extremis Hopper Picnic Tablein white, while client consultations and meetings utilise a Herman Miller Eames Segmented table. This table was fully constructed from leftover components and features a custom tabletop that incorporates ZETR’s 25 CONNECT power and data system designed for seamless technology integration. Ex-display Muuto Fibre armchairs complete the functional and fabulous setting.

“The second life furniture we provided ZETR through Relive by Living Edge looks so at home and appropriate in such a sophisticated interior scheme.” said Guy Walsh, Sustainability Strategist at Living Edge.

“One of the core principles of the circular economy is to maximise the useful life of products through repair, refurbishment, and reuse. We are here to make that happen by making it easier for people to source pre-owned products and access pathways to reuse authentic furniture.”

The project demonstrates that a second life is never second best for iconic, quality furniture and fit out. Instead, it is a way of retaining and respecting the talent, resources and crafting embodied in objects for lifetimes to come.
