5th Corner introduce their Stealth Acoustics speaker systems
November 21st, 2008
The ability to pipe music throughout the entire home has traditionally seen in-ceiling speakers being the favoured option. However, many argue that these options still add to the visual clutter of a space.
The solution? ‘Stealth Acoustics’. As suggested by the name, these speakers become completely invisible after installation. The loudspeaker, which has a rigid frame, is set into the wall and attached directly to structural framing (without the need for mounting brackets).
The perimeter of the speaker is then plastered, leaving a seamless join between it and the surrounding plasterboard. The speaker face is then painted along with the rest of the wall. Simple!
‘Stealth Acoustics’ speakers have numerous advantages over traditional loudspeakers, especially considering that they can be placed wherever they sound best, free of visual concerns that may conflict with architectural features.
There are a range of different models to choose from depending on the size of the room and personal sound system requirements.
