FDC and industry friends are hosting their 8th Melbourne Cup fundraising lunch in Sydney this November
October 22nd, 2012
To mark the 2012 Melbourne Cup, FDC Construction & Fitouts are working with Stylecraft, i.e. studio, Wizardry Imaging and Signs as well as Thinking Ergonomix to stage a fundraiser like no other.
Following on from the $82,116.08 raised at the sold out 2011 event – which was donated in full to the Cystic Fibrosis Unit of The Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick; the teams staging the event have an even more ambitious target this year.
The beneficiary of the 2012 Melbourne Cup luncheon is Habitat for Humanity NSW, an organisation that aims to create a world where everyone has a safe and decent place to live. Habitat for Humanity’s mission is to mobilise supporters, partners, families and volunteers to provide appropriate housing solutions in sustainable communities.
FDC and co have set it as their goal to fund and build a house for a disadvantaged family in New South Wales – this involves the raising of funds, material and labour valued in excess of $100,000.
“We hope to harness the support of business friends and allied subcontractors to achieve the required combination of funding and resources.”
Taking place at Doltone House in Sydney’s Pyrmont on November 6th, the event has already sold out with over 300 guests set to enjoy live and silent auctions, “the race that stops a nation” and giveaways from the likes of:
– Rockpool Bar & Grill
– Crowne Plaza, Hunter Valley
– Bart Cummings AM
– The Royal Oak Hotel, Double Bay
– Farage
– Stylecraft
– And many more…
