Shaw Contract Group have redefined living spaces and provided an entirely different point of view with Altered, their latest plank carpet tile collection.

The Altered carpet range blurs the line between the real and the surreal, with the integration of technology redefining how we apply carpet to transform spaces within the home and office.
“Our design team conducted an exploratory workshop in the process of creating the collection, immersing themselves in the process of analog versus digital to identify how we process imagery and detect the real from the altered,” says Shaw Contract Group Sales Director, Aaron Martin.
“In today’s world we are anchored by digital enhancement, so working with photographers enabled the design team to shift both their thinking and designs. Taking what was learned, the team have made something beautiful – something entirely different.”
The Altered collection is an ideal carpet solution for creating spaces with varying degrees of movement or pattern. The collection palette features 12 colours and four styles to provide directional vibrancy in two formats: 9×36 and 18×36, using alone or blended to build scale or enhance the space.
Products within the collection include Analog, a carpet that displays a tonal pattern with subtle blurring in a 18×36 plank format, and Distort, a tonal 18×36 plank carpet with a broken geometric pattern to convey a layered, digitised aesthetic. Glitch provides a sleek streak of concentrated colour along the long edge of the 9×36 plank, and Manipulate is a directional 9×36 plank with energetic glitching of colour throughout.
The Altered collection is suitable for all market segments and offers superior durability, style and recyclability. The Shaw Contract Group lifetime commercial warranty covers abrasive wear, tuftbind, edge ravel and delamination.
Altered is constructed with premium EcoSolution Q nylon and EcoWorx backing with all styles certified Cradle to Cradle Silver and assessed for human health. The collection is also GECA certified and achieves a Green Star ‘Level A’ product rating according to the Green Building Council of Australia.
