In the pursuit of an uplifting synergy between the inner world and the surrounding environment, internationally acclaimed Interior Architect and Designer Lorena Gaxiola transform the vibration of the auspicious number ‘8’ into mesmerising artistry alongside the Feltex design team, brought to you by GH Commercial.

Dancing Eight – 9700 Green.
April 8th, 2024
In the curation of space, the energy of the ground plane is fundamental for the human experience. More than ever, we recognise that the textures and colours of flooring have a tangible impact on our sense of wellbeing, connection and energy levels.
The inspirational Fortuna Collection, the second collaboration between interior architect and designer, Lorena Gaxiola and Feltex, a leading brand from GH Commercial, celebrates this affinity between our being and our environment.

Drawing on the ancient symbolism associated with the number 8, Gaxiola has created a dynamic, uplifting array of visually stunning meditations on prosperity, vitality and renewal. In colours of the earth, reminiscent of the hues of sandstone, forest, woodland, dune, seaside, sunset and timber the numeral and its energy are evoked and celebrated.
Three distinct design stories have been developed, offering a selection of scene-setting moods and aesthetics in quality broadloom carpets for commercial spaces including hospitality and public spaces.

Lucky 8 embodies simplicity and tranquillity, with a subtle texture in the compelling stipple effect that resonates strongly with notions of meditation, communing with nature and inner serenity. Dancing 8 with its highly textural and mesmerising articulation of line and shading brings joy, positivity and a sense of energy, movement and flow. Running 8 brings a future-facing dynamism to the energy of 8, with an uplifting and resonant fusion of colour, artistic flair and visual richness.
Together, the collection is an opulent testament to the talents of Gaxiola, an internationally acclaimed interior architect and designer who draws on the power of the inner world and imagination to transform physical spaces into life-giving havens where positivity and possibility can flourish.

The first Lorena Gaxiola x Feltex Collection was recognised for the power of its creative vision and excellence in manufacturing with a Gold Award at the Better Futures Sydney Design Awards 2023.
One of the key aspects of the manufacturing process that translates artistry into physical wellbeing is the use of Designer Jet® technology, providing exceptional flexibility and nuance for embodying colour and texture into form and sensation. The conceptual vision is rendered with exquisite detail, enhancing the senses of warmth, connection, curiosity and belonging.

In keeping with the ethos of GH Commercial, the new Fortuna Collection, by Lorena Gaxiola x Feltex collection also encompasses the wellbeing of the planet and human health, being free of chemicals and toxins on the Declare Red List of the Living Future Institute, demonstrating compliance with the Green Building Council of Australia low-VOC stipulations and utilising zero PVC or Phthalates in either fibres or dyes.

This suite of environmental credentials further embodies the essence of Fortuna and its celebration of the power of 8. According to Chinese Numerology, the year of 2024 is an 8 year and a Year of the Dragon. The power of this celestial vibration for advancing personal goals, elevating wellness and illuminating the power of positivity is truly celebrated in Fortuna’s captivating, dazzling and distinctive aesthetic.
