A journey of research, experimentation and design has led to a range of versatile porcelain stoneware tiles that enable multiple applications.
January 28th, 2016
Mirage has collaborated with Lanzavecchia + Wai to create a new collection of porcelain stoneware tiles. This is an inaugural partnership between the porcelain stoneware floors and coverings company, and the international design studio.
In this collection, Lanzavecchia + Wai celebrates the original characteristics and materiality of porcelain stoneware, having observed that most of the past Mirage collections have been designed to imitate other natural surfaces.
Recognising a new phase of design in Mirage, the term ‘Transition’ also refers to a journey through the history of Italian craftsmanship.
For Transition, multiple textures are layered to create a soft and rich appearance, while neutral colours propel a sense of calm and lightness. As a result, the collection enables multiple applications, from indoor to outdoor, flooring to walls and residential to commercial projects.
Transition was recently on display at Maison Objet Paris from 22 – 26 January 2016.
