Establishing itself as a strong artistic and design platform, K11 is set to collaborate with creative forces from China and Korea to showcase a contrast in regional design talent.
August 21st, 2013
Boasting a high-calibre programme in September, K11 design month invites artists, designers and design-minded businesses to promote their work and services during the month long exhibition.
Building on the success of the first exhibition in 2012, K11 will collaborate with the regions leading creative forces, universities and design organisations to create awareness of design within the Asia region. For the first time, the exhibition will celebrate talent from four leading institutions from Seoul and Beijing.
This specially curated collection will showcase the juxtaposition of mixed-media dialogues across the two Asian cultures.
The exhibition explores concepts to include, ‘the pure psychological state’ and the ‘copy-happy digital age’ is also an opportunity for design-based businesses to witness the region’s future in design and art.
A separate exhibition will also feature within the month of September and will highlight the work of New York-based designer Tien-Min who introduces her home country, Taiwan, through the use of design.
K11 art and design month, Hong Kong will commence September, 2013.
