2012 GLENN MURCUTT INTERNATIONAL ARCHITECTURE MASTER CLASS 08 – 22 JULY 2012
Stormtech Ltd., manufacturers of architectural grates and drains, is offering a 50% fee scholarship, valued at $3300, for a young Australian architect (under 30) to participate in the two-week residential 2012 Glenn Murcutt International Architecture Master Class in July.
The twelfth annual Glenn Murcutt Architecture Master Class will take place again in July at ’Riversdale’, on the shores of the Shoalhaven River south of Sydney and at the Carriageworks Centre for Contemporary Arts and Culture in Sydney. The now famous program has attracted practising architects, academics, graduates and some senior students from nearly 60 nations since its inception in 2001. Participants will join a great active international family of alumni from all around the world.
As an architect, seeking professional mentorship becomes more and more difficult as one moves beyond one’s academic training. The Murcutt Master Class is a rare and invaluable opportunity to find such mentorship and fraternity. The experience will exceed your expectations and give you a rare and indelible opportunity to participate in something truly remarkable. Glenn Murcutt, Brit Andresen, Richard Leplastrier, Peter Stutchbury and Lindsay Johnston provide you a rare glimpse into the meaning, power and necessity for architecture. This truly is a rare experience, which will forever shape you as an architect.
Stormtech is supplier of drainage channels and grates to many of Glenn Murcutt’s projects, including the Boyd Education Centre ’Riversdale’ near Nowra, NSW, where the company is based. The scholarship is offered to a worthy young Australian architect and covers half the cost of the fee of $6600 ($6000 plus 10% GST).
