Yellow Diva introduces the ‘MC1’ armchair from the ‘M Series’.
April 30th, 2009
This new chair from designer David Walley is inspired by both Eastern and Western traditions. The ‘MC1’ is remincent of a simple mattress form, evoking a feeling of comfort and security.
“We have been looking at designing an armchair for some time but wanted to incorporate the arm within the same linear framework as the seat,” says Walley.
The tactile oversized button detailing is visually playful and the 100% plantation timber legs and pure woollen upholstery add to the warmth and character of the chair. The ‘MC1’ entices you to simply curl up with a book and escape the world.
Yellow Diva explains that the M Series is steering the brand in a new direction heralding “a valuable and refreshing new direction” in their visual language.
Available in a choice of four untreated colours, with cream or black felt buttons and the option of vivid contrast button cord; the range is also available in natural leather. The ‘MC1’ will soon be joined by a two-seater sofa, ottoman and chaise longue.
The MC1 is priced from $2,680 + GST.
