Space Furniture introduces a series of evolutionary designs by Henrik Pedersen, a collection of contemporary classics with a twist.
April 16th, 2009
Henrik Pedersen’s new designs are a series of innovative lamps from Denmark’s Frandsen Design.
The lighting collection has a lightness and purity central to Scandinavian design, and each lamp has its own unique personality and a comforting familiarity. While Pedersen’s sense of humour and creativity is evident too.
The ‘BAIT’ floor lamp resembling a fishing rod’s pole, and ‘Cliffhanger’ with its counterbalanced base that sits on the edge of a desk or table. Other highlights from the range include:
‘Daddy Longleg’ – Their long legs are inspired by the crane fly, with the cord becoming a deliberate visual element.
‘Gravity’ – This clever design is neither pendant nor floor lamp, suspended from the ceiling and weighted at the bottom it appears to float.
‘Megaphone’ – A classic and familiar lamp given new dimensions.
‘Trunk’ – Evolved from the idea of the curved trunk of an elephant.
Classic with a twist, this fun and innovative collection is available in Australia through Space Furniture.
