This innovative North American shop-and-service is connecting consumers emotionally with global design for the home

The MOODROOM team, headed by its creator Laurent Guez, is currently scouring the globe for exceptional products that connect and compliment his vision of a modern, high-design, individualistic interior.

Guez dreamed up the concept after 25 years of work experience in brand communications around the world, where he identified the trend in consumer demand for novel, high-quality design products that have a distinctive story to tell.

In his animated and interactive venue, the first-of-its-kind in Canada, global brands now have a platform to present themselves – design story and all – directly to consumers.

“Our vision at MOODROOM is to provide international brands with a permanent exposition space for their products,” explains Guez.

“There is a void in the marketplace for home products to authentically connect with consumers in a relevant and interesting way. At MOODROOM, we intend to revolutionise the shopping experience by creating an ambiance of cutting-edge style, creative inspiration, trend news, exceptional custom service and pleasure.”

Inside its chic, urban milieu, the MOODROOM universe of carefully selected items will be merchandised to provide constant interaction, as aisles lead shoppers through interesting sales areas of products and shop-in-shop branded niches.

Complimenting its product assortment are services, such as: a ’fabric bar’ where customers design their individual look with an assortment of textiles, a modish ’book bar’ full of architecture and design publications, and even a ’bloom bar’ that offers a spray of homely scents.

MOODROOM opened its first flagship location in Old Montreal this year.
