Designed by Marco Zanuso for Arflex, there couldn’t be a better marriage of design than that of the ‘Sir’ and ‘Lady’ armchairs.
December 3rd, 2013
A collaboration between Marco Zanuso and Arflex, the ‘Sir’ chair was designed in 1949 and is a representative piece from the historical Arflex archives. It has used the perfect balance of design, comfort and elegance to be one of Arflex’s signature pieces for more than sixty years.
The ‘Lady’ was also a collaboration between designer Zanuso and Arflex. Created in 1951, consisting of single units that were upholstered, covered and then assembled separately, the ‘Lady’ has gone on to become one of Arflex’s most successful and iconic pieces.
The ‘Sir’ and ‘Lady’ armchairs are available in fabric or leather, and with a choice of metal, aluminium colour, black or gold base.
