With over 80 years experience in dishwashers, Miele introduce their new 4.5 star WELS rated range.
November 4th, 2009
If anyone knows dishwashers, it’s Miele. The company produced Europe’s first electrically powered domestic dishwasher 80 years ago and have been developing innovations ever since.
Now, Miele introduces 10 new dishwasher models featuring an impressive 4.5 star Water Efficiency Labelling Standards (WELS) water efficiency rating.
One example in this outstanding new line-up is the fully integrated Miele G 1574 SCVi Dishwasher. Accompanying the 4.5 star WELS rating, this model has a 3 star energy rating – creating the perfect balance between energy efficiency and performance.
Much of this is due to the new professional speed circulation pump, which enables shorter wash cycles with tailored spray pressure to suit specific wash programs – in other words, high pressure for heavy soiling and lower pressure for sensitive crockery and glasses.
Shorter wash cycles have been added to all the new models as well as carefully developed programs such as SensorWash, which tailors the cycle – using only the necessary energy, water and time to clean the load perfectly – and the QuickWash, with a running time of just over 30 minutes.
The whisper quite unit of the G 1574 SCVi also uses only 41dB(A) re1pW when tested to European standards. ’¨’¨As with all Miele dishwashers the G 1574 SCVi can be connected to a hot water supply of up to 60C, reducing water heat-up times and allowing for even shorter programs.
The internal basket design has also been developed with maximum flexibility and use of space in mind, with a removable cutlery tray that is sectionable and includes a glassware rail support, meaning the user can simply remove the left-hand side of the tray to wash long stemware. A new angled facia, LED check indicators for the spray arm, filter and GlassCare, all help to improve usability.
With its excellent consumption levels, quiet performance and a life expectancy of at least 20 years, the new, 4.5 star WELS water efficiency rated G 1574 SCVi Dishwasher is the perfect assistant in the kitchen. It is available for an introductory selling price of $2,499.00.

The difference between music and noise is partly how we feel when we hear it. Similarly, the way people respond to an indoor space is based on sensory qualities such as colour, texture, shapes, scents and sound.
True luxury strikes a balance between glamorous aesthetics and tactile pleasure, creating spaces rich in sensory delights to enhance the experience of daily life.
