Café Culture + Insitu present their picks from the Milan Design Fair - heading for Australian shores later this year!

Century-old Italian chair makers Billiani presented a stunning gravity-defying display featuring product new and old (above). The company also released the new Inka Steel range – an updated to the existing range.

CCI attended the Monday preview at Casamania to hear about the inspiration behind the new release products from world-renowned designers.

The Tweety pendant by Jake Phipps was a favourite – a light that playfully re-imagines this once familiar and admired household object, bringing light, song and conversation into an environment.

Ethimo’s stand consisted of a stunning outdoor display complete with olive trees and peonies to set a scene for a serene environment, perfect for presenting the new 2014 products and showcasing the collection created by Patrick Norguet in an exhibition full of mediterranean suggestions.

A vivid salmon was the colour of the season this year at the Miniforms display, with the company presenting for the first time “the padded” with the sofa “Lem” , the beds “Soft” and “Shiko” and the table “Soap”, characterised by soft legs covered in leather or fabric.
