A lot, it seems, if the strong relationship between Benjamin Hubert and Great Dane Furniture is anything to go by.

Great Dane have been selling Hubert’s Float and Spinning lights exclusively for over a year, and will be introducing the Roofer and Chimney lights to Australian audiences at this year’s Saturday in Design – where Hubert will appear as Great Dane’s very special guest.

Great Dane director Anton Assaad first took notice of Hubert through the designer’s Danish manufacturer &tradition, also manufacturer of several Great Dane products.

“Hubert’s design aesthetic is true to the Scandinavian tradition of beautiful form and function,” said Assaad of Hubert’s style.

“His ideas and materials are organic and simple, and he’s hitting a note in the market. There is a lot of appeal in his designs.”

Sydney audiences will certainly get a taste of Hubert’s zest, energy and creative use of materials at Saturday in Design on 19 and 20 August.

Hubert will be hosting discussions and workshops at the Great Dane showroom on Saturday, as well as guest judging the Launch Pad competition and even lecturing at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) during his visit.
