Take a look at some of the best moments from the scintillating launch party of Designer Rugs’ new collection – Norse by Anna-Carin McNamara.

Earlier this week, Designer Rugs celebrated the launch of its highly anticipated Norse Collection designed by Anna-Carin McNamara in a glittering party at Woodcut, Sydney. The brand hosted clients and friends for a Nordic-themed evening in sync with the brand-new collection. Experiences like Nordic war drumming and rune castings featured prominently as guests slipped into a world of Nordic nostalgia. The evening also included sumptuous hospitality with Swedish berry-infused Autograph Gin shots.

The Norse collection is inspired by the Runes – the first system of writing developed by the Norse people. The collection appeals to the force of the earth goddess for wealth, respite and family unity in the homes where these rugs are placed.

Speaking about the collection, Anna-Carin McNamara says, “Our modern lives may have changed but our fundamental human needs have not. There’s a moment when you roll out a rug, your house starts to look like a home, and you feel grounded. These rugs are inspired by adventurous people from around the world but are meant to feel like home. A solid ground to stand… or lie on.”

Bringing you some of the best moments from the evening.
