Award winning architect Frank Minnaërt opens the public’s eye to Town Hall’s architectural prospects with his ’Power of Ten’ exhibition
February 14th, 2008
Sydney landmark Customs House will be the venue for ’The Power of 10’ – a University of Technology exhibition which gives the public a new interpretation of the city’s iconic Town Hall.
Award winning architect Frank Minnaërt is the subject coordinator of the project at UTS, as well as the curator and designer of the exhibition.
Ten selected third-year Architecture students will look at how they would shape the heart of the city if they were to redesign the Town Hall in today’s contemporary society.
With a focus on the Sydney community, Head of the School of Architecture Sandra Kaji-O’Grady says the exhibition is not just for architects, but a great visual experience for the public as well.
"The students use models and realistic renderings to convey their inspirational ideas to every member of the community. Because of this ’The Power of Ten’ is for all the citizens of Sydney.”
The ’Power of Ten’ opened on March 13, and will run until June 15. Worth a look.
