This year, participants at Brisbane Indesign stepped outside the realm of product design to give us some cool t-shirts.

We’re always talking about how important originality and creativity are at design events, so we’re giving especial kudos to the companies who have gone beyond showroom decoration and canapés to make Brisbane Indesign 2008 a memorably visual experience.

Staff at Corporate Culture stepped out stylishly en masse in ‘The Original Line Up’ t-shirts, promoting the chair range desiged by Hee Welling in 2005 from Danish company, Hay. The t-shirt was also used as a tool to answer one of the questions in a competition they were running as part of the event.

Not to be outdone, OBJX commissioned a horde of cool light blue tees, with ‘Everybody Wants To Be A Designer’ printed on them, which were given to QUT and QCA design students throughout the day. These were so popular that a second run is being produced, available from OBJX.

Lastly, newcomer to the event, 5thCorner, really took some time to think about their entry into the interior design market. They followed up informative showroom presentations with a showbag that included brochures, a dvd and a branded tee, which was worn in funky and fashionable ways by the staff.
