2015 Lighting Event Attracts Top Speakers

Australia’s premier lighting event SPARC has been announced for 2015. The event boasts a speaker’s bill of world-class experts and field leaders to impart their knowledge, research and ideas, on what is expected to be a full house, come May 27-29.

With an impressive line up of both internationally and nationally renowned experts in lighting, design, education, research and architecture, SPARC 2015 is the Mecca for anyone in or related to the lighting industry.

The SPARC event, aligned with the now famous Vivid Sydney, will take residence at Sydney Exhibition Centre on Glebe Island for three full days of exhibitions, seminars and a spectacular Gala Dinner.

Highlights of the speaking lineup include,

Dr Yoshi Ohno – NIST Fellow, Sensor Science Division at the US National Institute of Standards and Technology will invigorate our thoughts on ‘Colour preference-based LED Lighting’

Inês Azevedo, Associate Professor of Engineering and Public Policy at Carnegie Mellon University and Co-Director at the Center for Climate and Energy Decision-Making (CEDM), will promote thoughts on the topic ‘Consumer choice for lighting products and the feasibility of DC circuits for lighting’

Simm Steel, Senior Lighting Technician at the Art Gallery of New South Wales will not disappoint with ‘Transitions in Museum Lighting Design’.
