Session Synopsis

Lighting choices are constantly evolving. New products regularly arrive to market with promises of improved performance and expanded aesthetic possibility.

Changes, in the form of new finishes, age-resistant materials, LED technology deliver measurable improvements in terms of durability, light spill, colour, safety, corrosion protection and more. Real progress is taking place, particularly at the high end of the market.

Aesthetics and functionality aren’t the only criteria by which lighting should be evaluated. The increased environmental awareness of recent times, combined with much discussed net zero carbon emission targets and so forth, mean that specifiers need to consider the sustainability of lighting products. (‘Sustainability’, that is, in terms of not just energy efficiency, but also things like manufacturing processes and associated waste).

How are specifiers to navigate their way through all these developments and find the right lighting products for their specific applications? This CPD Live session is the place to start.
