For over a decade and a half, Architecture & Design has hosted the Sustainability Summit – a beacon of insight into sustainable practices, and this year promises to be no different as it once again takes centre stage, this time on an engaging virtual platform.
As Australia faces urban congestion, the upcoming panel titled “Sustainability in Transport Design & Assessing Environmental Impact” will explore the innovative approaches being adopted by designers and urban planners in transport design.
This discussion will highlight the crucial role of sustainable practices in transportation infrastructure for both environmental stewardship and urban liveability.
There is a growing focus on environmentally sustainable solutions in various transportation sectors, including railways, airports, harbours, and metro systems. Sustainable transport design aims to reduce environmental footprints while enhancing urban efficiency.
