Using smart folding doors to rev up Ferrari’s Sydney showroom
Published

The elegant and effective folding doors of the Australian Trellis Door Company were recently installed at the Ferrari Showroom at Star City Casino, Sydney – ensuring safety as well as style.
The brief that the Australian Trellis Door Company (ATDC) received was to create a folding door system that could protect the high-value merchandise in a smart, elegant and corporate looking package. All while complementing the Ferrari brand and not costing a fortune.
The technical requirements of the project demanded a door system that is 44 metres across, folding on a curve, and being three metres in height. Obviously, this door system would only be present during the night, so it would also need to fold back to occupy a minimal amount of space when unlocked and open during trading hours.
ATDC went with its FC1 wide panel folding door – easily satisfying the requirements of the job. Better yet, due its transparent nature, the door system still showcases the luxury and undeniable luxury of the Ferraris present on the floor.
The 300mm-wide heavy duty panel door was installed with industrial grade top roller wheels and interlocking hinges, offering a low friction, easy operation folding door, despite the notable size. By utilising multiple intermediate up/down locking mechanisms, the result is a seamless lock up without the need for any cumbersome elements or floor tracking.
The folding doors at the Ferrari showroom are finished in a professional, natural anodised finish, which is standard for these doors although a full range of powder-coated options are available on request from the Dulux range of powder-coated finishes.
ATDC’s folding doors are the industry-defining product for this kind of security. Designed to last with safety and style, the doors are now available Australia wide.
