Design Inn Symposium is an opportunity for members of the hotel industry to come together, collaborate and gain inspiration on how to navigate a recovery and encourage a more sustainable hotel industry.
The third edition of Design Inn is scheduled to take place at Hyatt Regency, Sydney and for the first time as a pop-up event at Hilton Auckland on Tuesday 8 September. The symposium is part of the international AHICE conference and includes live panels specifically addressing key issues for the New Zealand hotel industry. Curated by leading hotel design experts, Design Inn will attract designers, architects, specifiers, consultants, hotel owners and asset managers from throughout Australasia to learn and collaborate.
Design Inn 2020 is about coming together to share stories, ideas and best practice. With the accommodation industry under immense pressure, the symposium presents a rare opportunity to be inspired by colleagues and friends and to highlight the recovery phase as the hotel industry seeks to emerge from the challenges presented by the COVID pandemic. The symposium will address the hotel industry’s design and development community providing delegates with an opportunity to explore the state of the environment, solutions that help reduce negative impacts and ideas to develop a more sustainable hotel industry.
With Australia now globally recognised for several next-gen hotel projects, defining how the industry can achieve sustainable design and development without compromising on the product and guest experience is the ultimate goal.
For the first time, Design Inn are offering the opportunity to watch the symposium virtually to make the event more accessible for those who are unable to attend in person at the venue in either Sydney or Auckland.
With a virtual ticket package, delegates can access all sessions live and will also be able to view the recordings of the sessions for up to a month after the event. Virtual attendees can engage with other attendees, ask questions, participate in online polls, etc. Design Inn is sponsored by SHAPE and supported by Hotel Management magazine.
