Infinity’s stunning Trilogy

In creating opulent spaces, aesthetics is not only a matter of what the eye beholds, it also emerges from the tactile presence of surfaces and finishes. For truly sophisticated design, the sense of balance and harmony is expressed and elevated with spectacular architectural finishes such as those created by Infinity Surfaces.

The new Travertino Trilogy range takes its inspiration from the visual qualities Travertine stone. Trilogy displays a rich, rhythmic interplay of beige nuances, warm greys and linear veining in large-format porcelain slabs suitable for a wide range of scenarios and settings.

For architects and specifiers, Travertino Trilogy offers a visual language that has similar cadences as stone yet exhibits the unique and versatile material properties of porcelain. Presenting with evocative richness and an air of heritage, the material lends itself seamlessly to the performance, versatility and precision expected in contemporary interiors.

The Infinity Surfaces team began conceptualising Travertino through the analysis and contemplation of natural travertine stone, uncovering insights into its sensory and tonal qualities. The impression was of an identity comprised of precise and unique interactions between beige and warm grey tones, with a balanced distribution of hues within a regular, stratified structure.

This became the spark for imagining a porcelain large format slab that embodied a visual sense of order and depth, while offering a surface aligned with the performance needs of contemporary architecture.

The resonances of timeless materials are retained, while natural features are foregrounded, in a magnificent fusion of technology and expert porcelain manufacturing.

Infinity’s Natura Vein-Tech technology ensures each slab has integral veining and depth through the entire thickness, whether it is the 6mm, 12mm or 20mm large format slab. In the making, controlled mineral sedimentation and a polychromatic mix result in exceptional visual integrity.

The pattern follows a principle of controlled randomness, avoiding a rigidly repeated sequence and deliberately incorporating variations that embody the organic beauty of mineral-based, geological materials.

Just as stone from a single quarry will display minor signatures of difference, while still clearly connecting in a familial, material sense, the Natura Vein-Tech process ensures Travertino Trilogy slabs offer a consistent visual quality while retaining authenticity and unique character.

The result is a material that has visual coherence in three dimensions, in a range of options that ensure an interior solution can achieve a unified aesthetic language. Travertino can be used for walls, benches, worktops, tables, bespoke furnishings and also architectural features including fireplace surrounds, embrasures and splashbacks.

The aesthetic qualities are complemented by the exemplary performance characteristics of porcelain stoneware including very low porosity and water absorption, ease of cleaning and resistance to heat, frost, abrasion, scratching, chemicals and the stresses of everyday use.

The large format slabs also offer flexibility with reduced needs for joints, while the three thicknesses of 6mm, 12mm and 20 mm ensure design can match performance for the appropriate scenario and its demands on finishes.

The 6mm option responds particularly well to large surface and cladding applications such as bathrooms, feature walls in living areas and kitchen wet areas, while 12mm and 20 mm formats extend the same aesthetic for worktops, tables, vanities and furniture components such as mantlepieces, shelving, benches and open-front cabinetry.

For a designer, the Travertino Trilogy enables an interior to achieve visual continuity with complementary textures, colours and the aesthetic rhythm of the veining. The inherent calm of the beige and warm greys also pair beautifully with materials and finishes including timber, metals, lacquered surfaces and architectural finishes.

It brings the beauty of stone and the timeless quality of porcelain stoneware into spaces where architects look to achieve exquisite interiors that combine fascination with flair, pairing visual elegance with harmony.
