Beauty, energy and aesthetic balance: Cattelan Italia’s 2022 collection preview
Published

The 2022 collection by Cattelan Italia creates harmonious living spaces that balance calming design and audacious details.
In today’s fast-paced society, we are increasingly seeking spaces that let you detach from the outside world, take a breath, and feel at peace. The 2022 collection by Cattelan Italia is designed to style a living space where balance and tranquility can be found, while providing the energy and inspiration that recharges you after a long day.
The 2022 collection presents a mix of soft and sinuous shapes, combined with contrasting geometric elements. Decorative details are delicately blended into each design, putting emphasis on the natural materials and manual finishes. Wide surfaces allow the natural veins of the precious woods and ceramics to shine, becoming part of the brand’s original style.

Several types of furnishings and living spaces make up the 2022 range, including sculptural dining tables, padded seating, wooden sideboards, and decorative elements such as lamps, mirrors, and soft carpets. Two new variants of Marmi ceramic stand out; the delicate Corcovado ceramic, which ranges between dusty and antique white tones, and the intense Kaindy ceramic with its fluid iridescent streaks in green, blue and grey shades. Several glass top options are introduced, most notably the new CrystalArt decorative art prints and the bronze Moonglass top.
The Italian furniture company also presents a monumental four-meter table, designed for offices and public spaces. The Senator model impresses not only for its size, but due to its audacious style expressed by the printed glass top with a unique, irregular shape. A wide range of comfortable chairs, with or without armrests, and swiveling chairs complete the setting, bringing comfort and wellbeing to the workplace.
A preview of the 2022 collection was presented at Milan Salone del Mobile in June 2022, the largest furniture fair of its kind. Now in its 60th year, the annual event showcases the latest in furniture and design from countries around the world. We take a closer look at a few of the stand-out pieces from Cattelan Italia’s latest collection below.

Atrium by Paolo Cattelan and Lorenzo Remedi
Cattelan Italia’s vision of interior design is best encapsulated by Atrium, the new disruptive dining table, available with wood or ceramic top. The table base is what gives Atrium its unique and precious qualities, highlighted by smoked couture mirrored glass that is shaped with a cutting-edge technique to resemble the pattern on quilted fabrics.

Costes by Tosca Design
A place to show off your most cherished objects, the Costes sideboard’s clean and essential look is enriched by its many details. The curved transparent glass sides are punctuated by vertical metal elements. In addition, LED lights inside the sideboard enhance its exquisite craftsmanship and quality materials. The Y-shaped metal elements that gracefully support the body of the sideboard add the defining touch of character.

Mariel by Paolo Cattelan
With its enveloping backrest, soft padding and high-quality leather, Mariel exudes charm without sacrificing comfort. The wide seat comes in two versions: Mariel with exquisite wooden legs, and Mariel ML with metal legs, which is lighter and easier to handle.

Nahun by Studio Kronos
Suspended lamps can create a link between furniture, turning a room into a coordinated and fluid living space. The Nahun lamp enhances the contrasts between the horizontal tops of tables, coffee tables and sideboards with its vertical lines and overlapping arches. The LED light strip positioned along the length of the outer edge diffuses a soft and distributed light.
