ownworld unveiled Silent Beams in its Collingwood showroom, marking the arrival of Swedish lighting brand Wästberg through a new partnership with Euroluce.
October 27th, 2025
During Saturday Indesign 2025 guests were welcomed into an entirely draped and layered showroom, where Wästberg’s philosophy — that light should serve humanity — was expressed through its iconic designs.
“Since the dawn of humankind, our relationship to light has been defined by fire. At Wästberg, we believe in creating modern-day fires – light that shines for us, not on us.”
The space was transformed into a reflective stage, with light cast across mirrored planes. Melbourne’s architects, designers, and guests were invited to experience Wästberg’s collection in a dialogue with ownworld’s curated selection of international furniture.

Wästberg designs were presented alongside ownworld’s local and international collections, with notable hero pieces including Clay Table by Marc Krusin for Desalto and the Osaka Lounge by Pierre Paulin for laCividina. The day was accompanied by classic Negronis, focaccia, patatas fritas and gildas, encouraging conversation and connection among Melbourne’s design community.
Speaking about the exhibition, Sam Manley, Creative Director at ownworld, noted: “Silent Beams was about creating a space where light could speak for itself. Wästberg’s designs are both technically precise and emotionally resonant, and our intention was to create an environment that amplified these qualities.”
The event marks the beginning of Wästberg’s presence with ownworld, signalling a new chapter in lighting that balances sustainability and innovation for both the home and office.
ownworld is dedicated to curating a thoughtful collection of high-quality furniture and accessories that enhance everyday living and working environments. Focused on innovation and sustainability, ownworld brings together local and international designs to create spaces that inspire.
