A celebration of Herman Miller’s design innovations in the form of a curated exhibition will be touching down in Singapore this August. Here are the highlights.
July 16th, 2013
First held in Hong Kong in 2011, the biennial REACH event is now heading to Singapore and – once again – promises to take visitors on an inspiring and multi-dimensional journey into the world of Herman Miller.
The award-winning Arras Spine
At Herman Miller’s 3,000sqm pop-up office, “The Spontaneous City”, visitors will get to experience the company’s full range of products, and its thought-leadership, in new and unexpected ways.
The new Mirra 2
The Spontaneous City presents real office environments designed around urban planning concepts. Divided into districts and neighbourhoods with distinctive landmarks and pathways, each area will present solutions for different organisational design, with the full range of Herman Miller products carefully integrated and woven into the overall narrative.
The newly launched Eames Molded Wood Chair
Global names in design such as Studio 7.5 (designers of the latest Mirra 2), Eames Demetrios (director of the Eames Office) and Gert Urhahn (urban designer, lecturer, and writer of the book Spontaneous City) will also be here to speak and share valuable insights in “Herman Miller Presents”.
Mathematica Exhibition at Essential Eames
One of the most noted highlights of the REACH programme, the Essential Eames exhibition has also arrived at the ArtScience Museum (29 June 2013 – 5 Jan 2014), offering visitors a rare opportunity to view a full spectrum of projects by the legendary couple in Design, Charles and Ray Eames, including works that have never before been shown in public – till now.
Herman Miller’s Most Liveable Office Design Awards
This year, Herman Miller has also launched its Most Liveable Office Design Awards to recognise achievements in office design across the Asia Pacific. Find out how you can enter the awards here.
