Crafted over twelve months, Mirage’s design journey was one of innovation and exploration. The process began with the in-house design team brainstorming what “texture” means in physical form – a concept that resonates with everyone but looks different to each person.

The team tested over 80 designs, trialling variations on different Cube panel colours and adjusting scales to achieve the right balance between texture and visual impact. Some patterns that looked promising on a screen lost their appeal when etched on a panel, while others only found their true form at a larger scale. This fastidious curation resulted in Mirage’s six carefully crafted patterns, each balancing subtlety with sophistication.

As a commercial product, it was integral that Mirage panels go beyond aesthetics, and they’re highly functional too. Available in two sizes (2.4-metres by 1.2-metres and 2.7-metres by 1.2-metres) and two thicknesses (12-millimetre and 24 mm), they provide superior acoustic performance, absorbing sound while adding a visual and textural layer to any interior space. The bevelled edges on each panel ensure a polished finish, lending a tidy, professional look that appeals to designers seeking a seamless installation.
