Induction cooking was first discovered in the 1930s, but has taken off in the last 10 years after European manufacturers designed cheaper, more compact and efficient designs.

The 60cm and 90cm cooktops from ILVE are essentially gas cooktops without gas. Induction cooking uses a ‘magnetic field’ to generate heat directly to the cooking vessel, allowing instantaneous control.

Both the 60cm and 90cm include touch control panels, nine cooking temperature variations, a simmer mode and additional boosters for reduced heat-up time. They are also safer, with child locks and residual heat indicators.

Like all ILVE products, these latest cooktops are manufactured by hand in Italy, ensuring individual attention to detail and quality control before they reach the customer.
