AIS enables architecture, design and building firms to manage product information and stay abreast of latest developments

AIS (Architectural Information Services) offers a range of time-saving ways for design and specification teams to stay up to date with new products. They enable firms to manage their existing product knowledge, learn about new products from different brands, and they provide free access to a constantly updated digital library of key supplier catalogues.

Their iFlex service is an informal visit in which they present products from multiple suppliers – without putting specifiers to sleep with overlong PowerPoint presentations. They present the most relevant, fresh ideas in a format that allows people to attend for only as long as they need.

In addition to iFlex, AIS offers Continuing Professional Development (CPD) presentations. Certificates are provided to architects who attend the presentations, enabling them to obtain formal CPD points.

On a larger scale, AIS run Equinox boutique trade expos. These are highly popular cocktail events, held twice yearly in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth, and once yearly in Canberra, Adelaide, Hobart, Townsville and Auckland. Due to high demand, the Equinox boutique trade expo is expanding to Darwin in 2013. The event features up to 24 suppliers with their latest release architectural, landscaping and interior products, and up to 400 attendees.

Their digital solutions include Archipedia – a library of architecture, interior design and specification eCatalogues. Archipedia helps specifiers access product information faster and easier than ever as the eCatalogues are far more efficient and up-to-date than printed catalogues.

Additional supplier information including national contact numbers, websites and sales representatives’ contact details are also listed, so specifiers can quickly contact the supplier directly should they need any more details or samples.

AIS products are provided free of charge to eligible practices. They’ve been providing innovative events for the A&D industry for over 12 years. Hundreds of iFlex events are held in Australia’s architecture, design and building practices every month. AIS has introduced hundreds of leading firms to a new and efficient way of handling supplier presentations, managing reference libraries and staying up to date with the latest ideas in architecture and interior design from a range of brands.
